Project Deev
Music by Namdar Kashanian & Moshir Safavi
When Namdar saw the iconic Deev paintings by Milad Aramnia, he immediately wanted to play setar for these grotesque and melancholic creatures. Over the following few weeks, Namdar and Moshir Safavi (Percussionist, Tanbur player) developed an improvisation map to play for the Deev, and performed a total of 3 Deev Jam sessions, the third being the final performance at Hamzianpour & Kia Gallery, where Aramnia’s Deev paintings were on display.

Project NEANDERTHAL
Neanderthal is Namdar’s 1st album exploring themes of alienation from the perspective of Neanderthal, a character who didn’t keep up with and was left behind and judged by high society.
Musically, Namdar draws inspiration from Rock & Roll as well as Persian Radif.
The album is now available worldwide, featuring Namdar on vocals, electric guitar, setar, and bass.
